When you travel 2 ½ km from Welimada town in Badulla district on the Moragolla road, you can see this Ambalam Moragolla road on the side of the Downside Estate controlled by Malwatte Valley Plantations.

Moragolla Ambalam is a small Ambalam in size. It is made of brick and mortar. Except for the direction of the entrance, all three sides are completely closed by the wall. The roof is covered with Sinhala tiles in two layers.Inside, the back panel is high and the side panels are made relatively low in height. During the Kandy period, when the caste division was strict, pils can be seen at different heights in most of the ambalams, and this characteristic can also be seen in an ambalam in the middle of a tea plantation.
