Discover the beauty of Islamic History!

Are you yearning to learn more about Islamic history? If you are keen to discover Islamic history by exploring the very places trod by Prophet Mohammed (PBUH), then you have a simple but trusted choice: Aalam International Tours and Travels.

Islam, which means Peace, is more than 1,400 years old. Islamic history is rich with accounts of miracles the Prophets had to perform, the sacred holy books that Muslims believe in and the rise of the Holy Quran. This is proof of the glory and beauty of the religion itself. Travelling has also been a huge part of Islamic history — Prophet Muhammad(PBUH) himself was a traveller who spread the message of Almighty Allah. Travelling to those very places is the only way to appreciate the beauty of His creations. By seeing these magnificent sites with our own eyes, we can understand more about Islam and deepen our knowledge of the beautiful universe Allah created.

AALAM TRAVELS has created a very special 11 day historical Islamic tour to Amman,( Jordan), Jerusalem and Egypt especially for those who desire to learn more about Islam and its rich history. Jordan is the country where so many Prophets were finally laid to rest. Ranging from the tomb (Makbarah) of Prophet Shuhaib (alai) and Prophet Ayyub (alai), Amman exudes Islamic history right down to its soil. If you are interested in ancient ruins, Amman is definitely the city to explore.

The Cave of the Seven Sleepers in Amman is believed to be the place where pious youths sought refuge from a tyrannical pagan king, in which Allah caused them to sleep for 309 years with a dog namely “Kathmir”. Did you know that this story is written in Surah Al-Kahf in the Holy Quran? Learn the story of the Dead Sea in Jordan — a sea of salt which has the West Bank on the left side and Jordan on its right. It is widely believed to be the place where the community of Lut (alai) was destroyed. Being more than 420metres below sea level, it is one of the lowest points on Earth.

You will also visit the mosque and tomb of Prophet Shuaib (alai). He is Prophet Musa (alai)’s father-in-law. One of the most attractive sites in Amman is the Blessed Tree. This tree is a male Atlantic Pistachio tree under which the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) is believed to have sat and rested while he was a boy (10–12years) when travelling with his uncle to Syria on a business. Meanwhile Christian Priest namely Buhaira identified him that he would be a prophet in future and advised them to return to Makkah .

Mount Nebo in Amman is believed to be the place where Musa (alai) died and was carried to a place most close to Jeruslaem, from where we could see Al- Aqsa masjid and buried according to his last will. It is from the summit of this mount that Musa (alai) looked down across the Dead Sea and the River Jordan to Palestine. After crossing the Israeli border, your tour bus will head to Jericho, known as the city of Palm Trees and considered one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in the world (10,000 Years Old), second only to Damascus in Syria (11,000 years old). You will also visit the Mount of Temptation, 420 metres below sea level, where Prophet Isa (alai) observed fasting for 40 days.

You will then proceed to Jerusalem where you can visit Al Aqsa Masjid, the first Qibla of Muslims for 16 months. You will see the Dome of the Rock (Qubathus Sahara) where Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) commenced his Mihraj, a miraculous journey that He undertook in one night from Mecca to Jerusalem, followed by an Ascension to the Heavens. You can visit the Wailing Wall known as Buraq wall where Prophet (PBUH) tied the Buraq, the riding animal upon which he rode during the Night of Ascension (Mihraj).

You can also visit the underground Masjid known as Majidul-Marwani which was built by Suleiman (alai) with the help of Jinns. You will then reach the Mount of Olives where Isa (alai) ascended to Heaven. From there you can have a view of the Babul Rahma through which Prophet Isa (alai) will enter after descending in Damascus. The tour party will then visit Maqam Salman Al Farisi (rali)–One of the Sahaba of Prophet (sal) RabiathulAdaviya, Bethlehem where Isa (alai) was born and Hebron, to see the “Makbarah” Prophet Ibrahim (alai), his first wife Sara (alai) and their son Ishaq (alai), Yakub (alai) and Yusuf (alai). This will definitely be a very memorable journey.

The next destination is the capital city of Israel, Tel Aviv& Jaffa, where the group will visit two important Masjids namely Mohammediya Masjid and Hassan Baiq Masjid. Then you will move on to the old city of Jaffa where you can see the sea where Prophet Yunus (alai)was swallowed by a whale which descended to the bottom of the sea.

The next day, the journey begins with a border crossing to Egypt at Taba, heading straight to Mt. Sinai where Prophet Musa (alai) spoke to Allah directly. You can also see the fascinating “Burning Bush” and the 12 springs of Musa (alai). Then you can proceed to Cairo (through Suez canal) which has been one of the greatest centres of education in the Islamic world for millennia. The Al-Azhar University in Cairo is a definite must-visit place while you are in Egypt. You can also travel to Giza to see the Ancient (3) Pyramids and the Sphinx and the Egyptian Museum, specially the rooms dedicated to Tutankhamen and Mummy’s room where Firawn’s body rests.

You also get the opportunity to visit the citadel of Salah El Din, El- Refai and Sultan Hassan Mosque and the Khan El Khalili Bazaar Hussain Masjid where Prophet Muhammad (PBUH)’s grandson Hussain (raw) is buried and many more places. Your journey will end with an amazing five star Nile River Cruise with an oriental show and sumptuous dinner.
